Okay, so the Aspire Pixo touchscreen pod kit is now available, we have had our demo unit for quite some time and so will deliver our thoughts.

Aspire Pixo Kit - Build Quality

The Pixo build quality is fantastic! In the hand it feels very wholesome and robust. Sliding pods in and out is firm yet easy to do for all users.

The USB port looks sturdy and enabled to withstand daily charge routines, whilst this should be a given, not all kits have this.

Aspire Pixo Features

The touchscreen is certainly the unique selling point of this device. We admit we needed to consult the manual to work out how to engage it, but logically it works well so that settings cannot be altered in the pocket or bag. To access the menu, users are required to press the fire button 3 times,  we found it easy to access and navigate around.

Within the navigation you can change the output mod to smart (the chip will set the wattage for you) or manual (you can set your own wattage).

AB Mode allows you to choose the auto-draw, button firing only or both. This is your user preference on how you vape the device.

Puff counter records the number of times you have used the Aspire Pixo device over the last 7 day period.

Vibration of the device can be turned on or off, we think its pretty cool to be left on, but others may prefer it disengaged.

Screen settings - Allows you to adjust the brightness of the screen and the length of time before it shuts down.

Aspire Pixo Themes

Our demo device only had the single base theme to choose from but retail units ship with 3 options. We are unsure if Aspire would be looking to release more theme options in the future but we would welcome this.

The themes and vaping animations are of stark contrast to each other and so there is something to choose here from everybody.

Aspire Pixo Performance

It is all well and good having a nice look and feel plus all the gimmicks in the world, but if performance is bad, is it worth it ?

Thankfully the performance of the Pixo is not bad at all! We have been running Steep Lyfe Cherry Cola through it and the flavour is outstanding. The built in coils withstand even the heaviest of vaping action and keep performance at its peak.

We prefer the 0.6ohm pods and this is what we shall be offering our customers.

The one negative we would point out is the battery life is equal to cheaper pod kits on the market. The Aspire Pixo offers 1100mah of battery life, which to be fair, can be recharged rapidly, thanks to the USB port and technology installed. But those whom are used to 1500mah are going to feel it when the device runs out slightly before your daily habit is used to. We suspect that whilst the chip does a great job of controlling battery use, the large touchscreen, intense brightness and vibration function take their toll on the battery life when compared to more basic pod kits.
